Social media posting is hard! It feels like a completely different world. We’ve just been busy, heads down, working on amazing projects, and forgotten to tell anyone about what we’ve been up to.

I took the last couple of years out of posting regularly and now, like a muscle unused, I feel totally out of my depth! You would think for someone whose bread and butter is writing that it would be easy. A duck to water. But I have found myself thinking up little posts in my head, then getting to the actual ‘writing it down’ and freezing up.

Fortunately, I have a team who are far more competent than I am at this stuff but it does feel a little alien coming back to it. Long posts often read so polished and glossy, very different to the messy world of new media I remember. It feels a bit like I left a pidgin social media space and have come back to a full-on new creole language. Exciting but scary at the same time!

Finding my feet just now. Haven’t yet learned all the new expectations – even to the point that .png images are often too hi-res so .jpg is needed on posts, who knew! – but with a little patience even old ducks can learn a trick or two!
