Eric Liddell: 100 year legacy
About the course:
In 1924, Eric Henry Liddell won gold at the Paris Olympics and a European record. His myth and glory was later cemented in the film ‘Chariots of Fire’ but his community and charity work is often overlooked.
Launched in time for both the centenary of the Paris Olympics and Eric’s Olympic victory, this engaging and interactive course explores the achievements and impact of many aspects of Eric Liddell’s life and how his actions and values paved the way for using sport as a tool for good.
Our involvement:
This course was developed in partnership with the Eric Liddell Community, Edinburgh University, and Woodgate Consulting.
Using archival resources, historical records, and expertise, we were able to develop a bespoke course that is both historically accurate and engaging to learners. As part of the package, we also filmed a walking tour of Edinburgh and developed a comprehensive timeline of Eric’s life.
