15 Minute Cities

15-minute cities are a concept at the forefront of a lot of discussion recently, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there. In simple terms, the idea is to be able to reach important services and amenities (schools, shops, jobs etc) within 15 minutes of walking or cycling, some cities even include public transport in their plans too.

This course’s aim was to create a guide for urban planners on how they can implement the concept in their cities, while also debunking myths and rumours for the general learner.

The scope of this project was to write, design, and build a course based on a report by the Technical University of Munich (TUM). We collaborated with the report writers to ensure our content aligned well with TUM’s vision.

We developed various activities based on resources provided and helped bring the report to life and transformed it into a practical learning tool.

This is an example of an activity we created that helps people understand how accessible their cities are based on a tool called ‘The Flower of Proximity’
